Surfside Gecko is a custom built 2 story beachfront home with 4 bedrooms and 4.5 baths, large pool and huge outdoor living area overlooking the pool and the ocean on both the ground floor and second floor. The Villa is located directly on a beautiful sandy beach overlooking the Caribbean Sea in Placencia, Belize.

Surfside Gecko is a certified Gold Standard Property by the Belize Tourism Board and managed by a highly respected company that manages four exclusive private islands and numerous luxury waterfront villas in Placencia.

The villa is gated and offers the privacy and comfort of your own home along with all the associated high-end resort amenities, including daily maid service and a professional chef to cook your meals 3 pre-set days a week in the home. The villa has large indoor and outdoor living space including a huge eat in kitchen. The massive outdoor covered porch with great views of the sea adjacent to the large private pool makes for the perfect place to relax or enjoy a meal prepared by the villa’s chef. Surfside Gecko offers all the comforts of home, fully air-conditioned, high end appliances and other amenities you would expect in a new high end custom home.

Spend your days relaxing in the hammock, chilling by the pool with a refreshing drink or exploring the ocean on one of the provided paddle boards or kayaks. The home is conveniently located with a very private beach setting, yet it is close to fine dining and other upscale resorts just 5 minutes from Maya Beach and 10 minutes from Placencia Village in the 4-seat gas golf cart provided and included with rental.

Getting to Placencia 

All international flights go in and out of the Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport (BZE) in Belize City.

After booking, you’ll receive a link to our Travel Portal where you will enter the international flight information for everyone in your group. You will also indicate your preference for in-country transportation from the Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport (BZE) to Placencia.

Your concierge will reach out to confirm and book either of the first two options for you:

Option 1

FLYING – The flight from the airport to Placencia is 30 minutes and cost $291.50 USD round trip per person. If this is the option you would like please indicate it in the travel portal and enter all your group’s international flight details in the portal. After purchasing your tickets here , your concierge will receive the order and refer to the portal to book these local flights. Your concierge will also arrange pick up from the Placencia airstrip to the property. 

Option 2

PRIVATE SHUTTLE – This is approximately 2 hour 15 minute drive from the airport to Placencia and cost $649.69 USD round trip (tax included) for up to 3 passengers then $56.25 for each additional person round trip (14 passengers max). Once you’ve also entered all your group’s international flight details in the portal, your concierge will reach out to connect you with the shuttle operating team who you will make payment to directly. The shuttle will transport you directly to the property.

Option 3

You also have the option of renting a private vehicle yourself from one of the car rental agencies at or near the airport. Your concierge can provide driving directions to the property.

You can choose a different option for your arrival and departure or your group can be split with some flying and some taking the shuttle. Please be sure to indicate travel preferences in the Travel Portal.
